An Talla, Gaelic for ‘gathering place’, is our café and shop destination at Dochgarroch Lock. We know the Scottish weather can be unpredictable, so you can relax knowing that we provide seating options both indoors and outdoors.
Whether you’re looking for locally crafted souvenirs or savouring a menu featuring regional ingredients, An Talla is the perfect place to find unique keepsakes and make lasting memories with your loved ones.

Come dine with us and get a true flavour of the finest Highland hospitality and locally-sourced produce.
We are open from 10am to 4pm, 7 days a week.
Breakfast is served between 10 to 11.30 am. Dogs are welcome. Table booking is not required.

Taking inspiration from Scottish engineer Thomas Telford, An Talla, sits proud on the banks of the man-made part of the Caledonian Canal, which has been connecting Scotland for 200 years.
Thomas Telford’s legacy is woven throughout An Talla. From exclusive Scottish-made textiles inspired by the dramatic landscapes of the Highlands to a locally sourced menu with passion baked in – whatever you choose to indulge in, An Talla will leave an impression that lasts long after you’ve left.
